No One Belongs Here More Than You: Short Stories by Miranda July

The first book on my book journey was No One Belongs Here More Than You. I was a bit sketch to read it at first because I had heard far too many good things about it. That always leaves me a little nervous, because, I mean, look at Twilight.

The book was great.

It was amazingly well-written.
I was new to Miranda July's work and I was not disappointed.

The stories made me learn new things about myself.
They made me realize things from a different perspective and they left me realizing that everyone has deep dark secrets and none of them are worse or weirder than anyone else.

I appreciated the book for the number of diverse topics it covered.

I appreciated how she wrote it.

It inspired me to write a few of my own short stories.

Miranda July, you have a new fan.

Pre-Day One.

Hello darlings!
I've started a blog challenge. Starting today, I'm setting up to read 150 books in one year. Now, this may seem easy, but most of the books I pick up are around 200-300 pages, sometimes more. I've decided to do a blog for each book I read after I've read the book to discuss it in detail. I'll be talking about things that the book has brought to my mind, how I relate to the books or just about the characters in general. I love writing essays, so I thought what better to do than to marry my two loves! Essays and reading- what fun. :]

I hope you enjoy reading about my journey!
